What this site collects
There is no advertising, no analytics company, and nothing sold or shared. This page lists what is stored, why it is stored, and how to have it removed.
When you write to us
The contact form stores your name, your email address and your message, so that we can reply. It also records the IP address and browser the message arrived from, which is what lets us tell a real enquiry from a flood of automated ones.
When you pre-order
The pre-order form stores your name, email address, which dashboard you have, how many units you want and any note you leave, along with the same IP address and browser. That is the queue: it is how we know what to build, which harness goes in your box, and where to write when it ships. Nothing is charged on this site, so there are no card details to store and none are asked for.
How visits are counted
The site keeps a running count of page views. To tell a returning reader from a new one it stores one random identifier in your browser under the name bios_sid, and records which pages were opened and when. The identifier is a random string. It is not tied to your name or your email, it is not shared with anybody, and clearing your browser storage ends it.
This site sets no cookies. The only cookie in the whole site is the login session for our own admin area, and nobody else is ever sent one. The identifier above is local storage instead, which is stored in your browser the same way a cookie would be. We are not making a distinction to get out of telling you about it. The difference that matters to you is that it is never attached to a request, so it does not travel with you around the web; it exists only to stop one reader being counted as ten.
What is not here
No Google Analytics or any other analytics service. No advertising or tracking pixels. No social buttons. No fonts, scripts or images loaded from anybody else's server while you read. Everything on the page comes from this domain. Nothing is sold, rented or handed to a third party for their own use.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On our own server, in our own database. It is not copied to a third-party service.
There is no automatic deletion, so the honest answer on retention is: until you ask us to remove it, or until we no longer need it to do the thing you asked for. We would rather say that than print a period that nothing enforces.
Having it removed
Email brainiostream@gmail.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, and delete it if you want it gone. You do not have to explain why, and there is no form. If a pre-order is open, deleting it cancels the pre-order, because the queue entry is the data.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights over your data under local law. Nothing on this page reduces them.
Changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes with it, and the date below moves. Conditions of sale are separate and live on the terms page.
