The JavaScript that turns what your game reports into what the instruments show. Paste it into SimHub once. It covers every game SimHub reads, and a signal a game does not report simply stays where it was. Everything worth changing sits at the top of the file with a line saying what it does, and README.txt beside it has the SimHub settings.

DownloadZipped so your browser does not block it. Unzip, open the .js, copy all of it.

Updating a board

1

Put the board in update mode. With USB connected, hold the button on the board for three seconds, or type dfu on its console.

2

A drive named P1LOT appears. Open INFO.TXT on it to read the version the board is running now. HELP.URLbeside it opens this product’s page.

3

Copy the downloaded file onto that drive. It ejects itself and restarts when the copy finishes.

An interrupted update cannot brick the board. The running firmware is replaced only after the whole file has arrived and been checked, so a cable pulled halfway through leaves the old version in place. If a board ever does refuse to start, its update drive still appears. Send us what INFO.TXT reports and we will send back a recovery file.

Gauges and pedals keep their settings, and a dashboard no longer wakes up showing warnings it was never given.

Added

  • A pedal or stick wired either way round. Take the resting end and the travel runs that way.
  • An output frame you shorten is kept. A digital servo will take 200 Hz.

Fixed

  • The shift light came on at startup against an idle engine, on both BMW panels.
  • A speed limit sign showed before any road had one.
  • One damaged gauge record put both outputs back to off.
  • The updater left the supply rails and two status LEDs to settle wherever they liked.
  • Bus rates of 83333 and 33333 are accepted instead of refused.
  • The self-test runs one pass again.

Known issues

  • Tested against one unit of each panel we have.

What these files are. Firmware written by us, for our own hardware, free to download whether or not you bought your board from us directly. A production unit accepts only builds carrying our signature, so a file from anywhere else is refused by the board rather than installed and discovered later.

Built for a desk, not a road. P1LOT hardware drives a cluster mounted on a rig or a bench. It does not go back into a vehicle, and nothing published here may be used to touch a mileage or service record. See the terms.
